Nigeria: Oshiomhole's Campaign Posters Flood Auchi

EDO: Ahead of the 2012 governorship election in Edo, campaign posters of incumbent Gov. Adams Oshiomhole have adorned different parts of Auchi and its environs.

The vehicle of ACN supporters also carry inscriptions canvassing support for the former labour leader's second term bid for the Denise Osadebe House.

Some number plates now bear "Adams 2012 CAN" in addition to the Governor's picture on the posters.

The posters are pasted on electric poles, walls, roads, public buildings and every available space in the areas.

INEC had fixed July 14, 2012 for the Edo governorship election.

The election did not hold in the state during the April general elections because Oshiomhole was sworn in on Nov. 28, 2008.

The ACN- led Edo government had battled for 18 months to claim the mandate from the PDP after the April 2007 governorship election in the state. NAN
