Liberia: Only 2 Presidential Candidates Gone Through Nomination Process

The deadline for the closure of nomination of candidates vying for presidential and legislative seats closes on Monday 15th of August 2011 and according to the National Elections Commission (NEC), only two presidential candidates have registered so far.

According to NEC Head of Nomination, Nathan P. Garbie only Simeon Freeman of the Movement for Progressive Change (MPC) and Charles Brumskine, presidential aspirant of and Liberty party (LP) have gone through the nomination process ongoing at the SKD Sports Complex in Paynesville, outside Monrovia.
