Kenya: Night School Launced to Educate Informal Sector

KENYANS from informal settlements who never got access to secondary education are set to benefit from an initiative offering non-formal learning which will be conducted at night. Network for Non Formal Education Institutions, in partnership with Swift Global, has launched the initiative to give youth and young adults an opportunity to sit for the KCSE exams at a subsidised tuition fee of Sh1000 per month.

Dubbed 'Education For All', the classes will enable students to conduct their normal business during the day, and attend sessions from 6pm till 9pm, three nights per week, and later sit for the final end year exams.
