Nigeria: Investment in Power Generation to Gulp N520 Billion

The Minister of Power, Prof. Bart Nnaji, has disclosed that Nigeria would require a regular capital investment of N520 billion to increase her electricity generating capacity from the current 4,200 megawatts (mw) to 13,000mw by 2013.

Nnaji also said that the federal government could not, on its own, undertake a fraction of this required investment in the electricity sector owing to its enormity and government's multifarious developmental agendas which were often at competition.
