Over the weekend, the UP through its Assistant Secretary General for Press and Propaganda, Neto Leigh, announced that the party had disqualified Dr. William K.G. Barnes from contesting on its ticket due to what the party termed as aspirant Barnes’  “corrupt” practice when he (Barnes) was in the employ of the United Nations Development Programme(UNDP). Leigh, who made the pronouncement when he spoke on Truth FM Evening Talk Show, divulged that investigation conducted by the party proves that   Dr. Barnes   has “corrupt” record.
