Cameroon: Korea Trade Agency To Open Douala Branch

The outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Cameroon, Hosung Lee says the Cameroon office of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency will be opened in Douala to serve promote trade between the two countries and facilitate investment of Korean companies in the country. Ambassador Hosung Lee had a farewell audience with Prime Minister Philemon Yang at the Star Building on August 18, 2011.

The Korean diplomat said in an interview that he started work as ambassador in Cameroon in September 2008, with his greatest achievement being the re-opening of the Korean Embassy in Cameroon that was closed for over 10 years due to financial difficulties.
