Dodoma — The government intends to offer sponsorship to best students selected to join public universities and colleges to study medicine from this year, it was announced yesterday.
Under the new arrangement, best performers will be given free, full sponsorship, instead of the subsidised loans they currently receive like their counterparts studying other disciplines. The medical students will not be required to repay the costs incurred by the government for their university studies.
