In line with its infrastructural development scheme, the Ondo State Government in recent months embarked on a spate of road rehabilitation and construction schemes in various parts of its territory.
Five of such ventures, which are in their early stages of execution, range from face-lifting a previously deplorable stretch to building s completely new road. The total contract sum is in the region of N12.5 billion which, ironically is barely over what state officials claim they are being owed by the Federal Government for past and recent interventions to repair federal roads that were in a bad shape in Ondo State.
