Angola: Agriculture Minister Secures More Priority to Population's Problems

Cabinda — The Minister of Agriculture, Fishing and Rural Development, Afonso Pedro Canga, guaranteed on Thursday more priority to the population's problems regarding food and assistance to the practice of agriculture and fishing.

Pedro Canga said so to Angop during a three day working visit to the northern Cabinda province, aimed at learning the reality of his sector in the region.

The official considered as necessary to support the population in areas of equipment, agricultural mechanisation, trading of goods and training of staff, as well as fund for timber industry.

The official said that he will seize the chance of visiting this province in order to assess the level of implementation of programmes and projects, as well as work with local government, especially with provincial governor, and thus identify other projects and accelerate the current ones.

The minister is expected to return to Luanda on Saturday.
