Dar es Salaam — The construction of Rusumo international bridge and one-stop border post facilities are expected to take off soon following a grant agreement of Sh39billion signed between Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Tanzania.
The minister for Finance and Economic Affairs, Mr Mustafa Mkulo, said in Dar es Salaam yesterday that completion of the project, whose construction would take two years, would contribute substantially to the economic development and reduction of the transport burden between Tanzania and Rwanda, as well as its surroundings.
