Nigeria: Benue - Three Killed, Seven Injured While Scooping Fuel

Makurdi — AT least three people have died and seven others sustained injuries at Okpoga the headquarters of Okpokwu Local Government Area after they went to scoop fuel from a tanker with registration XC252 MKD that was involved in an accident last Saturday.

An eye witness Mr. Abu told our correspondent that immediately the incident occurred, some villagers rushed to the scene and were scrambling to fetch fuel that was flowing with the use of iron buckets when a spark resulted into fire burring some of them before some were rescued with the help of passersby and some security agents.
