Kenya: Ruto Asks for Time Off ICC Hearing At the Hague

ELDORET North MP William Ruto does not intend to be present at the ICC throughout the entire 12 day confirmation hearing.

Ruto, through his lawyer Katwa Kigen, has applied to the court seeking to waive his right to be present at the confirmation of charges hearing all through. He however says he will attend the court on the first day and will "make an effort" to be there on any other date that his counsel or the court requires.
