Nigeria: 'Sunrise Estate Was Demolished Because It Stands On Buffer Zone'

The Development Control Department of Abuja Municipal Management Agency (AMMA) has said that its decision to demolish Sunrise Estate located in the outskirts of Apo was because it sits on buffer zone and had no valid papers.

Director of the Department, Yahaya Yusuf disclosed this to journalists yesterday while reacting to an allegation by the South East Revival Group that he demanded for gratification of 10 units of the houses in Sunrise Estate.
