Zimbabwe: 'Country Risks Becoming Another Ivory Coast'

The Prime Minister of Zimbabwe, Morgan Tsvangirai, has requested Nigeria and the African Union (AU) to intervene in his country's pre-elections disagreement in order to rescue it from becoming "another Ivory Coast."

Jonathan has agreed to support all efforts by Zimbabwe and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) to ensure the conduct of peaceful, transparent and credible elections in the Southern African country. He made the promise yesterday while speaking to Tsvangirai in his office at the State House, Abuja.
