Kano — Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero has dismissed as incorrect claims by the state government that the cancellation of sallah celebration in the state was because he was seriously ill.
The Emir' s reaction have lent credence to speculation that he has fallen out with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led government in the state. In a sharp respond to the position of the The government had announced that the health condition of the Emir prompted the cancellation of all the Sallah festivities which include Hawan Daushe, Hawan Nassarawa and Hawan Dorayi, which for years were being observed every Eid Fitr.
