Tanzania: U.S. Scholar Okays Nation Stand on Libya Crisis

Arusha — A scholar from California University, Dr James Mitchell, has supported Tanzania's stand not to recognise Libyan rebels fighting to topple Col Muammar Gaddafi.

On Sunday, the minister for Foreign Affairs and International Relations, Mr Bernard Membe, said Tanzania would recognise the group if it takes over the government and establishes all its organs which respect the division of power between the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary.
