Nigeria: Police Arrest 10 Robbery Suspects in Ekiti

Ado-Ekiti — Police in Ekiti State have arrested 10 robbery suspects in the state. Parading the suspects yesterday, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Mohammed Jimoh said two locally made guns, an axe and a cutlass were recovered from one of the gangs which operated at Isinbode part of the state. He said the gang deceived their victims that they had banana to sell at a farm at Isinbode.

"On getting to the farm, the suspects pointed a gun at one of the victims, Idowu Yakubu, a female trader and dispossessed her of the N50,000 she had on her. The gang was arrested by a police team led by the officer in charge of surveillance, Mr. Peter Alabi. They have confessed to the crime," he said.
