Nigeria: Blame Military for the Woes of Broadcast Media - Murray-Bruce

The Chairman and Former Director General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Mr. Ben Murray-Bruce has blamed the successive Nigerian military governments for the underdevelopment in the broadcast media.

Speaking as the Lead Speaker at the fifth "Lawyers In The Media" (LIM) Forum at the just concluded Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association(NBA) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on a topic , titled "The Role of Media Broadcast in the Sustenance of Democracy in Nigeria, he said that apart from Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Ibrahim Babangida, no other Nigerian President took any conscious efforts to develop the broadcast media.
