Kenya: No 3G Refund, CCK Tells Safaricom

Communications Commission of Kenya has hinted it will not refund Safaricom for the higher price it paid for 3G licence . The regulator has said the market situation was different when Safaricom was issued with the license compared to the time when its competitors got theirs.

Safaricom recently started legal proceedings in which it wants CCK to be compelled to refund it Sh1.4 billion . The matter is awaiting hearing in the High court
