Hoteliers have blamed lack of access roads and proper management plans in Malindi, Watamu and other north coast resort towns for losses caused by fire outbreaks.
Kenya Hotel Caterers and Keepers association said most hotels have no disaster management systems. "The leadership of counties in the North Coast should set up management plans to counter the constant fire disasters which have become rampant in the region," Titus Kangangi the Association's chairman in the North Coast said.
