Kenya: Firm Seek Oil in Coast

Australian petroleum exploration company,Pancontinental Oil & Gas will start looking for oil along the Kenya coast by end of this year It is currently identifying general locations for the surveys and the most prospective sites for drilling.

The company said in a statement the process is expected to be completed in mid 2012. "Pancontinental has interests in four exploration blocks in East Africa, off shore Kenya," said the company CEO Barry Rushworth in a statement. "Offshore East Africa has become an industry focus through major deep water gas discoveries and oil discovery offshore Tanzania and Mozambique" he added.
