Kenya: Government to Crack Down On Sugar Cartels, Says Raila

Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka yesterday attributed rising road accidents around the country to corruption among traffic police officers.

Speaking in Kawethei in Kangundo during the requiem mass for 15 of the 23 accident victims that perished in a ghastly accident last Saturday in Mbooni East district, Makueni county the two said the country is losing productive people through accidents. They said road accidents negatively impact on the country's economy. Musyoka said Kenyans should not let drunk and rogue public service vehicle drivers to drive them.
