Nigeria: Delta Hospital Turns Back Patients As Workers Begin Strike

Asaba — SCORES of HIV and diabetic patients, who reported at the Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Asaba, Delta State for routine treatment were, Thursday, turned back following the withdrawal of services by scientists manning the hospital's laboratory.

Also the fate of patients requiring blood transfusion is hanging in the balance as competent hands were not available to either certify blood to be donated or cross-match blood appropriately for patients.
