Nigeria: NIMASA to Domesticate IMO Conventions, Codes

Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), the country's apex maritime regulatory authority has expressed its readiness to domesticate the International Maritime Organisation's (IMO) codes and convention so far ratified by Nigeria.

The global maritime watchdog, IMO, which has its headquarters in London, United Kingdom, has several guidelines, codes and conventions which define the rule of engagements among maritime nations.
