Dodoma — The State Mining Corporation (Stamico) has spent Sh490 million to procure three exploration equipment from China for improved mining operations in the country, it was revealed here over the weekend.
The corporation's board chairman, Mr Ramadhan Khatib, said one of the equipment valued at Sh310 million, uses electronic technology. "We expect the delivery of all the equipment before December this year and the other two have already been delivered at our workshop at Hazina area in Dodoma," he said when handing over the machinery to the director general of Stamico, Mr Gray Mwakalukwa, at a short ceremony.
