Zimbabwe: Govt to Take Over CSD - Biti

GOVERNMENT will take up a controlling 51% shareholding in the Central Securities Depository (CSD) to be split between the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe, National Social Security Authority, ZB Bank and other selected quasi government institutions while Chengetedzai and other players in the private sector will take up the remainder, Finance minister Tendai Biti said.

Biti told the Securities Commission and Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) forum in the capital this week that Chengetedzai would be the technical partner because the company had made some progress towards its implementation.
