Nigeria: Third Mainland Bridge - Motorists Panic Over Boko Haram Threat

Lagos — Motorists plying Lagos third Mainland Bridge are panicking over an alleged Boko Haram threat to bomb the bridge after Ramadan period. On Friday, motorists were seen over-speeding while others now drive through the bridge with emergency lights permanently on.

There was no presence of security personnel on the bridge from Berger Bus Stop to the end of the bridge. Though there were some LASMA officials at Adeniji Adele, whose main responsibility is to control traffic when passengers disembark from commercial vehicles.
