Nigeria: Ogun PDP Chieftain Slams N1 Billion Suit on Mustapha

Lagos — Ogun East senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the April 2011 election, Mr. Tahib Odunowo and the founder of Omo-Ilu Foundation, Prince Buruji Kashamu, have filed a suit in the Federal High Court, Lagos, seeking N500million damages each from Senator Lekan Mustapha.

According to suit no FHC/L/CS/1015//2011, Kashamu is seeking compensation for the injury allegedly suffered as a result of "the malicious design of Senator Lekan Mustapha to humiliate him and infringe on his fundamental human right to liberty by the false allegation that the funds donated voluntarily by Mustapha to Omo-Ilu Foundation was obtained under false pretense."
