PRESIDENT Hifikepunye Pohamba has expressed concern about the high spending by institutions, organisations and individuals on newspaper advertisements congratulating him on his birthday and urged them to instead donate the money to charity.
While he expressed appreciation and gratitude to ministries, offices and agencies, public and private institutions and individuals for the best wishes extended to him on the occasion of his 76th birthday, Pohamba said through his press secretary Mukwaita Shanyengana that the money could have been better spent.
