On August 25 2011, a story appeared in Namibia's New Era newspaper with the former Governor of Omusati Region, Nangolo Leonard Mukwiilongo, reported to have urged the government to revise its land distribution policy, because, according to Mukwiilongo, "the government has failed to address the land issue . . . which renders fruitless the liberation struggle that was in part driven by Namibia."
Against this background, amid the sharp commentary on some of these issues, the greatest mistake one can make is to ignore the concerns raised because they go to the heart of the issues that we need to be grappling with.
