Eight people perished in an accident involving a Matatu and a lorry on the Nairobi-Meru road in Imenti South last night. Six others are admitted at local hospitals with serious injuries.
Police say the dead were all Matatu passengers traveling from Nairobi to Meru when the incident happened at about 10 pm.
The Matatu is said to have left its lane and collided head on with an oncoming lorry killing the eight on the spot.
