AS the countrywide teacher's strike enters into its fourth day, book and uniform sellers in Nakuru are decrying slow business. While urging the government to address the teacher's grievances amicably, traders expressed fear that they will not be able to sustain themselves if the strike continues into another week. "Incidentally, we are also on strike because parents are not ready to buy books for their children.
For the last two days I can count the number of customers who have visited my bookshop," declared Amos Gatonya, a bookshop owner.
