Nigeria: Electricity Tariff - Labour, FG Set for Showdown

Abuja — IF the Federal Government does not drop its planned 50 per cent increase in electricity tariff, it would have a show-down with the organised labour, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) warned yesterday.

The NLC President, Comrade Abdulwaheed Omar and his TUC counterpart, Comrade Peter Esele, who condemned the plan, warned that the Federal Government plan was an invitation to anarchy.
