Dar es Salaam. — Tanzania's earnings from exports are expected to improve throughout the year 2011 and probably 2012 on hopes that an improving global economy will strengthen demand for the country's products, Deloitte's Economic Outlook 2011 indicates.
Analysts, however, say this may only be achieved if problems within the Euro Zone do not graduate into another global economic crisis.Tanzania earned $6.447 billion from exports of goods and services during the year ending May 2011, a $1.4 billion increase from the amount recorded during a similar period in 2010, according to Bank of Tanzania (BoT) figures.
