Gambia: Police Officer Testifies in Rash and Negligent Act Trial

One Alfusainey Koteh of Tabokoto, a police officer attached to Brikama Police Mobile Traffic Unit, on Tuesday 20th September, 2011, appeared before Magistrate B. Secka of the Brikama Magistrates Court as prosecution witness (PW1) in the ongoing criminal trial of one Ansumana Manneh who was charged with rash and negligent act causing death.

During his testimony, PW1 said that he recognised the accused and can recall the 6th of June 2011 while in his office, he received a call from his relief commander that an accident occurred along the Brikama-Sanyang highway heading towards Gunjur.
