Sierra Leone: Vice President Lauds Plan International On Child Welfare

Sierra Leone's vice president has commended one of the leading non-governmental organizations in the country, Plan International, for their unyielding efforts in assisting Sierra Leonean children with basic food relief across the country.

Alhaji Samuel Sam-Sumana said his government was overwhelmed to receive a delegation from the organisation on their activities in the country, and also for complementing government's commitment on children's welfare.

He said the development of children has been vastly affected by the war over the years, thus commending the organisation for providing invaluable assistance to Sierra Leonean children.

Country Director of Plan International, Augustine Alieu said the organisation was one of the oldest humanitarian agencies in the country that has vastly aided government in achieving its goal in the area of child welfare.
