Nigeria: FG Adopts Lagos Light Rail Transit Model

Confronted with a huge task of earning public trust, President Goodluck Jonathan has concluded plans to construct light rail transit (LRT) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), an idea THISDAY gathered he borrowed from the Lagos State government.

The plan was revealed in Lagos on Monday when THISDAY visited the construction site of China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), a transnational firm currently constructing the Lagos light rail transit project which covers a distance of 27.522 kilometres from Okokomaiko in Ojo to Marina on the Lagos Island.
