Dar es Salaam — A total of 214 people have died in road accidents in Dar es Salaam this year, it was revealed on Monday.The number is more than those who died in accidents last year, the vice chairman of the Road Safety Week Committee for Dar es Salaam Region, Mr Jerome Ringo, said.
Speaking during the inauguration of the week, Mr Ringo said accidents which have occurred between January and June this year caused injuries to 3,057 people.In all, there were 5,031 reported accidents in that period, up from 4,984 last year.
