Liberia: FIND Demands Clarity From CDC's Tubman

The Foundation for International Dignity (FIND) is demanding clarity from the standard bearer of the opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC), Ambassador Winston A. Tubman, regarding statement attributed to him (Tubman) in the media that a CDC-led government will not prioritize "civil liberties and that press freedom are not a priority for the Liberian people." FIND is an acclaimed human rights and pro-democracy organization operating in the country. Recently, media reports had it that Tubman; while on a campaign tour in the southeast asserted that a CDC-led government will not prioritize "civil liberties and that press freedom are not a priority for the Liberian people."

But the CDC standard-bearer is yet to comment on the report attributed to him in the media.
