Nigeria: Med-View to Airlift 9000 Pilgrims From Lagos Zone

Lagos — One of the official carriers for 2011 pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, Med-View Airline has said it will be airlifting a total of 9000 pilgrims from Lagos zone out of about the 15000 it is billed to airlift for the exercise.

The General Manager of the airline, Mr. David Babatunde said that Lagos State has the highest number of pilgrims from the zone with about 4000 intending pilgrims.

He said the first set of pilgrims left the shore of the country to the holy land last Sunday with the first flight airlifting about 505 Lagos State pilgrims followed by the Ogun State pilgrims on Monday with 500 and 498 Osun State pilgrims that departed the country on Tuesday.
