Tarime — Sporadic clashed pitting the security guards of the mining giant, African Barrick Gold and the local residents of Nyamongo in Tarime District, Mara Region, have often resulted into deaths or severe injuries, while disrupting peace in the area.
Some ideas are now being tried to enable the company and the local residents co-exist peacefully and mutually benefit from the existing opportunities.
