Sudan: Imprisoned Human Rights Activist Starts Second Food Strike

Kobar — The prominent human rights activist Dr. Bushra Gamar went on a hunger strike for the second time on Monday to protest against the over three months detention he is being submitted to without prosecutions.

His brother, Dr Ezzeddine Gamar, told Radio Dabanga that Bushra is now at serious health risk in his Kobar Prison cell, adding that he had been diagnosed with various conditions, including a heart disease, asthma, a chest infection and a herniated disc.
