Nigeria: FG Begins Ejection of Nine Barred Agencies From Ports

Barely three days after the Federal Government order that nine agencies presently part of the cargo clearance processes should leave the ports, airports and international borders, measures to ensure the immediate implementation of the order have started.

The Federal Government order, a directive of President Goodluck Jonathan which was announced last Monday by the Minister of Finance, Dr. (Mrs.) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, reduced the number of agencies operating in the nation's seaports from fourteen to six.
