Tanzania: Matumla Confident Ahead of Ubo Fight

Dar es Salaam — Tanzania's boxing sensation Mbwana Matumla said yesterday that nothing will stop him from snatching the Union Boxing Organisation (UBO) title at the expense of his bitter rival Francis Miyeyusho.

The anxiously fight will take place later this month at the Diamond Jubilee Hall, and preparations for the bout are on course.Matumla, best known to his admirers as Golden Boy, insisted that he has what it takes to win the 10-round bout.

"I am well prepared for the fight. I am sure Miyeyusho will not go beyond the fifth round," Mwana said.

"Miyeyusho is a good boxer as those who have chanced to watch him in action can attest, but I know how to contain him. He should expect a humiliating defeat later this month," he added.
