Nigeria: EFCC Urges Auditor General to Withdraw Statement .... Submits Audited Accounts to the National Assembly Annually

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has called on the office of the auditor general of the federation to withdraw a statement credited to it alleging that the commission has never submitted its audited accounts to its office in accordance with the provision of the constitution.

A statement by the commission states that "the attention of the EFCC has been drawn to a news item, published in some national newspapers, on Monday, October 17, 2011, quoting the Auditor General of the Federation, Mr. Samuel Orkura, to the effect that the Commission has never submitted its audited accounts to his office."
