Juba — South Sudan national parliament has relieved chairpersons of Specialized Standing Committees and their deputies. The assembly speaker said the move is aimed at paving the way for reselection so that members who were in Khartoum national assembly assume some of the seats.
There are 96 members who were in Khartoum parliament before independence and were incorporated into the new country's national parliament after independence.They want a share in the positions of chairpersons and deputies of Specialized Standing Committees.
