Nigeria: Councillors Want FG to Probe ALGON

Calabar — The Federation of Local Government Councillors of Nigeria(FELCON) has called on the Federal Government to probe the Association of Local Government Chairmen of Nigeria(ALGON) over alleged misappropriation of N3.8 billion meant for the training of health personnel in various council areas of the country.

President of FELCON, Chief Victor Edim, who made the call in Calabar at the end of a two day meeting with stakeholders, also urged the Federal Ministry of Finance to monitor the N22 billion recently approved for ALGON for the prevention of breast cancer in local government areas in the country.
