Cameroon: Heart-felt Appreciation of President Biya

Following the official declaration of the October 9 presidential election poll, the Head of State yesterday addressed a message of thanks to Cameroonians.

President Paul Biya addressed the nation yesterday for the first time after the proclamation of the October 9, 2011 presidential election results by the Supreme Court, acting as the Constitutional Council on Friday October 21, 2011. The short but compact message not only cited the various actors in the electoral process and their invaluable role in fostering the democratic strides in the country, but also recalled some of the central issues in his electoral manifesto as well as indicated guidelines on how the President-elect foresees the next seven-year mandate that Cameroonians have given him.
