Sierra Leone/Tanzania: Four ARS Stars Off to Man-U Clinic in Tanzania Today

Freetown — Four Airtel Rising Stars ARS youngsters are to leave Freetown today for the Man-U Soccer Clinic in Tanzania. The four will be accompanied by renowned sports journalist Muctaru Wurie and a chaperon. They will leave onboard the Kenyan Airways flight bound for Nairobi via Ghana before proceeding to Tanzania where the clinic would be held. In Tanzania, the youngsters are expected to meet their contemporaries from other countries where Airtel operates as well as showcase their football skills with the hope of being picked up by talent scouts who will attend the clinic specifically for that purpose. A similar clinic will take place in Gabon specifically tailored for the French speaking African countries with Airtel operations, another in Cape Town, South Africa.

The four Mariatu Conteh from Suba United (East), Rashidatu Kamara of Red Eaglet (West), Hamza Kamara of 13th Legion (West) and Patrick Gbenda of Makebie Stars (East) have been waiting for this day since the announcement that they made the team at Miatta Conference Hall during the awards ceremony.
