Dar es Salaam — Tanzania is in a state of heightened alert following terror attacks in Nairobi this week.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Saidi Mwema told a news conference yesterday that Tanzania's law enforcing organs were keenly following East African security developments after suspected Al-Shabaab militants carried out two grenade attacks, apparently in retaliation to Kenya's military operation in Somalia to destroy the group's cells.
